What is the difference between DTF ink and DTG ink?

DTF ink is used for film transfer printing, applicable to cotton, polyester and blended fabrics. DTG ink is for direct printing on garments, mainly for cotton materials. Their formulas are different. If you use a DTG printer for DTF production, please adjust the time, pressure and temperature of powder curing and heat press properly, and choose matched DTF film.
 

What is the difference between hot-peel DTF film and cold-peel DTF film?

Hot-peel film can be peeled off immediately after heat pressing to improve production efficiency. Cold-peel film needs to cool down completely before peeling. Both types work perfectly with our DTF ink.
 

What is the difference between matte DTF film and glossy DTF film?

Matte film effectively reduces static electricity and problems caused by high humidity. Glossy film delivers better visual appearance and also performs well in humid environments. You can choose according to personal preference.
 

What is the standard operating procedure for DTF printing?

Place DTF film with printing side upward.
Print color patterns first, then print white ink for coverage.
Sprinkle hot melt adhesive powder evenly on wet ink surface.
Bake at 80-150℃ for 3-25 minutes to melt the powder.
Heat press at 150-170℃ for 8-15 seconds.
Peel off the film and get finished products.
 

What fabrics can DTF ink be used on?

Our DTF ink is suitable for cotton, linen, polyester, nylon, denim and various blended fabrics, especially black cotton T-shirts. It is not recommended for waterproof fabrics.
 

How to match printing technology with different types of fabrics?

Plant fiber (cotton, linen): DTF ink, DTG ink, reactive ink
Chemical fiber (polyester): Sublimation ink, disperse ink, DTF ink
Silk: Reactive ink
Animal fiber (wool, rabbit hair etc.): Reactive ink, acid ink

What are the requirements for working environment?

The ideal operating temperature is 20-30℃, and relative humidity is 40%-60%.
 

What notes should we follow before using the ink?

Shake the ink fully before use. Please use up the ink within 1 week after opening. When replacing ink for the first time, empty all cartridges, ink lines and dampers. It is suggested to clean the whole ink system and replace new dampers. We can help you make ICC profiles for better color performance.
 

How to store the ink properly?

Keep the ink away from direct sunlight, storage temperature: 15-30℃. Seal the ink tightly after opening to prevent dust and impurities.
